About A thousand nodes

Welcome to A thousand nodes, my personal blog about web development, programming, and creative coding. This site continues the legacy of my original A thousand nodes blog that ran from 2011 to 2016, while embracing modern web technologies and new topics.

Who I Am

I'm Arjun Raj, a web developer and technology enthusiast with a passion for creating and sharing knowledge. I've been working in web development for over a decade, specializing in frontend technologies and creative coding solutions.

Blog History

The original A thousand nodes blog started in 2011 and covered topics like Drupal development, JavaScript, CSS3 experiments, Node.js, and game development. Unfortunately, the original site was lost during a server crash along with its backups.

Thanks to the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, I've been able to restore many articles from the original blog. You can browse these restored articles in the Archives section.

What I Write About

On this blog, I share my experiences, experiments, and insights about:

The Name

The name was suggested by my friend and dev hero [@shadcn](https://github.com/shadcn). Originally inspired by Drupal's node-based content model, but has evolved to represent the interconnected nature of web technologies and the countless nodes of knowledge in a developer's journey.

"The best way to learn is to teach. When you explain something to someone else, you deepen your own understanding."

Technology Stack

This site is built with Next.js, MDX, Tailwind CSS with Shadcn UI.
